Donations raised to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

Naperville Park Police will join local law enforcement precincts from across Illinois in the “Cop on a Rooftop” fundraiser Friday, May 16. Our very own Park Police will be posted on top of the Dunkin’ Donuts located at 1991 Brookdale Road in Naperville from 5:00 a.m.-noon.

During the 22nd annual “Cop on the Rooftop,” police officers will stand on top of different Dunkin’ Donuts locations to raise money and rally support for Special Olympic athletes in Illinois. This is a fun and unique event to raise funds for the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) that precedes the Special Olympics in June. During the fundraiser, Naperville Park Police will be selling a variety of LETR merchandise, such as lapel pins, coffee mugs, hats and shirts. Supporters can contribute by purchasing an item or donating. Every donor, whether through a purchase or direct contribution, will receive a coupon for a free donut. For those unable to attend but would still like to donate, donations can be made online on the Park Police’s fundraising page.

Naperville Park Police’s support for the Special Olympics spans over 15 years as part of their commitment to community engagement and inclusion. Their participation strengthens the bond between law enforcement and the communities they serve as well as promotes respect, acceptance and equal opportunity for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
