It is almost summer, and we are all looking for something to do with our families. And Naperville never fails! It is so exciting to see how many events are planned. Cosley Zoo
Cosley Zoo, nestled on five acres, offers visitors up-close interactions with nature right in the heart of the suburbs. It is home to farm animals and native wildlife.

Children’s Lunch Hour Entertainment
Pack lunch, bring sunglasses and an umbrella, then join the fun on Tuesday afternoons. You’ll be treated to a variety of exciting performances; you may even become part of the act. All shows begin at 11:30 a.m. and last approximately 45 minutes. Children’s book reading 10 minutes prior to performance start time. 

Summer Storytime Outdoors
Enjoy an all-ages Family Storytime and puppet show on the Riverwalk. This program will occur weather permitting. Check the library website or social media accounts for cancellations.

Naperville Community Fireworks Show 2025 Naperville Community Fireworks Show  For the fourth year in a row, Naperville will host a free fireworks show in celebration of Independence Day at the Frontier Sports Complex, 3380 Cedar Glade Dr. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. on Friday July 4, 2025.

Concerts in Your Park is a Sunday evening summer music series for families and neighbors. Each concert is held at a different neighborhood park. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a FREE evening of outdoor musical entertainment from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

River Sounds
We’re thrilled to introduce River Sounds—a fresh weekly event series designed to elevate the Riverwalk experience through live music and community vibes. Each week, River Sounds will bring a two-part music journey to the riverfront:
6:30–8:15pm: Ease into the evening at Jaycees WiFi Park (just east of Water Street between City Hall and the River), where a local singer-songwriter, jazz quartet, or cultural musicians will create a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. Expect acoustic, pop, folk, and global sounds as the backdrop to a summer evening by the water.
8:15–9:30pm: As dusk settles in, the music drifts to the water. From a boat secured in the river, artists—ranging from opera singers and cellists to cultural instrumentalists—will perform completely acoustic sets.
It’s music, community, and the magic of the river—come float with us.

BrightSide Theatre
BrightSide Theatre, in partnership with the Naperville Park District, will present a series of free concerts this summer at several different parks throughout the community. In celebration of BrightSide Theatre’s 13th Season, each hour-long concert, rightfully named “Enchanted Broadway: A Magical Journey of show tunes and Superstitions. Dates coming soon!

Wonder Woods Mini Golf at Morton Arboretum
This summer, The Morton Arboretum is teeing up for a new interactive experience—Wonder Woods Mini Golf! You’ll enjoy an imaginative, tree-themed adventure with friends and family on this one-of-a-kind course specially designed for the Arboretum. Opens May 23, 2025
